WES is looking for an Impact Investing Intern to support the WES Mariam Assefa Fund’s growing impact investing efforts. Through its grant-making, impact investing, and field-building work, the Fund aims to catalyze solutions that advance the economic mobility of immigrants and refugees in the U.S. and Canada. The Fund’s Impact Investing Intern will have a mix of research, analysis, and team coordination responsibilities, which may evolve over the course of the semester as the Fund’s activities and operations continue to expand in 2021. They will report to the Principal of Impact Investing and will also support the Managing Director and have exposure to other members of the WES team in the US and Canada. This role will provide an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to multiple areas of the sustainable investing landscape and help shape the Fund’s nascent impact investment practice.
The internship will run from September 2021 through December 2021, with the possibility to extend through Spring 2022. The position will be part-time (up to 20 hours per week) and based remotely.
