FAQs

What do I learn as an analyst?

We offer UChicago undergraduates a unique opportunity to learn about the rapidly growing field of impact investing through an in-house curriculum, guest speakers, case studies, and hands-on experience through partnerships with professionals in Chicago's impact investing space. Education topics range from investment fundamentals to financial modeling to consulting-style case studies.

What is my expected time commitment?

The expected time commitment is 2-4 hours per week, with one-hour weekly meetings during the education process.

What do we look for?

We want students of all majors and interests who have a desire to learn more about the intersection between social/environmental impact and the private sector.

When do we recruit?

We recruit new members once a year during the Fall quarter. Our applications are currently open so make sure to apply!

What kind of real-world experience should I expect to gain?

After completion of our 4-month education program, members become analysts and are surveyed on industry and project preferences. Using Bain-style team placement, analysts are paired with board members and clients in their preferred sector and begin a 4 to 5-month long project that concludes at the end of Spring quarter.
