Since 2018, we’ve been spreading awareness about the power of social entrepreneurship and impact investing.
Here at UChicago Socially Responsible Investing Group, our goal is simple: to generate interest in and provide lasting contributions to our namesake ecosystem.
By providing a curated curriculum, speaker series, and opportunities for hands-on experience through our professional partnerships in the Chicago impact investing space, we give our members the tools they need to learn about and contribute to the growing impact investing movement.
What we do
Education
Program
With a robust 15-week training program and a hands-on approach to real-world problems, members will develop a deep understanding of the principles inherent to impact investing. We seek to illuminate an area of the financial sector that is growing rapidly but under-represented in undergraduate finance education.
Professional
Experience
Through our partnerships with impact investing funds, impact-oriented nonprofits, and social enterprises, our analysts take on projects that provide hands-on experience, working closely with industry professionals. Through developing both a professional network and professional skills, our members are equipped to break into their respective fields of finance, consulting, social impact, etc.
Real-World
Exposure
UCSRIG provides its members with a unique opportunity to learn about real-world applications of impact investing. We provide guest speakers from academia and the public/private sector and analyze impact investing case studies through our curriculum in order to provide a concrete context for the field.
